ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned the “cowardly terrorist attack” at a public rally in Kabul, the Foreign Ministry in Islamabad said in a statement late on Sunday night.
The attack on Sunday killed seven people and injured more than 20. It also marked the death anniversary of Afghanistan’s legendary figure, Ahmad Shah Masood.
“We express our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives and pray to almighty Allah for the early recovery of the injured,” the statement read.
It added: “We reiterate our strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and express solidarity with the people and government of Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism.”
As per reports by Amaq news agency, Daesh has claimed responsibility for the attack.
